Per Wellington—3o sacks grass seed,4 empty lids, 29 cases cheese, 14 cases fruit, 5 Sticks and 2 cases walnuts, 54 cheese Shippeis—ll. Aylmer, Beeeher, Bailey, Black, W. Aylmer, K. M. Watkins, C. McDonald, Feltham, Newton, Lardner, and Daly. The Union Company's s.s. Wellington arrived at Lyttelton at 4 p.m. on Thursday from Wellington ; she left at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, and experienced a strong head sea and south-east wind as far as the Kaikouras. The steamer had to run back for shelter to Worcer's Bay after her first start from Wellington, but got away again at 8 p.m. with more moderate weather, and arrived as above. She left Lyttelton for Akaroa on Thursday night last, the 25th, at HMO p.m.; reached the Heads at 11 p.m., ami made fast to the wharf at 11.35 , p.m. She experienced light wind with a j heavy swell. She sailed for Dunedin at; 12.25. : We notice by the Union 'Company's ad-, vcrtidcnient of the Orient line of steamers that a reduction has been made in the j Siloon fares to London from 75 to 60 guineas. The Arethuea, Euterpe, Hereford, Inglewood, Maraval, and Pleiades, carrying a total of 76 000 sacks, have loaded at the Gladstone Pier, Lyttelton, during the month, and sailed for the United Kingdom. The Wahnate and Westland are now completing their outward load, and will finish by April 1. These will complete a gross total of some 100,000 sacks of grain exported from the Gladstone Wharf during March, 1880. The Margaret Galbraith will be moved to .the berth at the Gladstone Pier, Lyttelton, lately vacated by the Inglewood, and the dredges will be placed at the extension of the jetty, to make the berths there more practicable for large vessels needing a long draught of water. On January 28 the Gemma cleared at New York for Dunedin and Lyttelton, with 1200 cases of oil and 200 packages of tobacco for the former, arid 1500 cases of oil and 75 packages of tobacco for the latter port. The L. R. Lyraan cleared at Boston for Dunedin on January 11, with 5000 cases of oil and 396 packages tobacco. The Hir.emoa which arrived in Lyttelton on Friday afternoon brought a number of volnnteere who take part in the Easter Monday Review. The total number on board was 319, 160 being from Nelson, •and 159 from Wellington. The Stella left Wellington last night at 7 o'clock with a '' consignment" of Wellington volunteers, but had not arrived up to 6 o'clock last night.
