STOCK REPORTS.
There was a good attendance at the Ad--dington Yards on Wednesday last, and more animation was displayed in the bidding than had characterised the market for Borne time past. The entries for the day comprised 8219 sheep, 426 cattle, and 103 p\gs.
Sheep.—There waa rather a short supply of fat sheep, but a large number of stores. The former were cleared out at improved prices, the rise being from Is to Is (id per head. Best quality mutton realised equal to 2d per Ib ; medium, l|d io lfd. Lambs were irj large supply-, and •were cleared with difficulty at from 5s to 7s Gd each. Stores were in active demand, especially ewes for breeding purposes. Cattle. —There was a good supply of beef, but it was not of very fine quality. Most of the lines were closed at an advance on last week'n prices. Prime quality beef is worth 22s 6d per lOOIbs ; medium and inferior, 18s to 20a. Stores are still dull of sale. There is no demand for anything but good forward ateers and wellgrown heifers. Dairy vows are in demand at from £10 to £13.
Pig's were not quite so brisk on Wednesday ay at the previous sale.
