First prizes have been awarded to the Kaiapoi and Mosgiel Companies for flannels and blankets. The Mosgiel Company has obtained tho second prize and the Kaiapoi third in tweeds ; Mosgiel first and Kaiapoi third prize in woollen fabrics ; Mosgiel obtained second prize for mats. Cook, of Wellington, for cord and rope ; Bevan, of Waikawa, for wool work ; Lawless, of the Thames, for counterpane and table cloth ; Jordan, of Dunedin, all obtained third prizes. Mr Stephens, mate of the steamship Wakatipu, has been seriously injured whilst engaged unloading the vessel.
