Taiaroa left Lyttelton yesterday at 2 p.m., reached the Heads at 6.15, and made fast to the wharf at 6.50. She experienced fine weather and a calm sea. She feft again for Dunedin at The schooner Young Dick, from Hot art Town to Tiinaru, with timber, spoke the e.s. Taiaroa at 6 p.m. yesterday evening. She wished to be reported as oft' the Pillar, and making good way. Messers Dalgety and Co. agents for the Peninsular and Orient line of steamers, announce a fortnightly service between Melbourne and Southampton, via the Suez 'Canal. The Remonstrant has 1500 sacks of •wheat aboard at Port Lyttleton and the Ada Wiswell 2000 The New Zealand Shipping Company's ship Waimate is announced to leave Lyttelton for London on the 3rd prox. The Arethusa cleared at Lyttelton for Landon on the 9th, and will be followed .--_- 4iy the Euterpe, for tho New Zealand Shipping Co. The Bruce had 40 trucks of grain yesterday added to her outward cargo, and finishes to-day. The ship Salamanca left Sydney March Bth, to load at Lyttelton on behalf of tho ' New Zealand Shipping Company. Messrs Shaw, Savill and Co.'s ship Lady Jocelyn is loading fast, and is announced to sail for London without fail next Mondy.
