LONDON WOOL MARKET.
We we indebted to the Manager of the New Zealand Lonn and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited), for a copy of the following produce telegram, dated London, Feb. 18, 1880 :—
Wool.—The sales opened with .spirit on Feb. 17, at an average advance of Id to 14(1 on last wale prices. Up to date, 199,000 bales have arrived ; 260.000 bales ara admissible to the series ; 22,000 bales have been sent to the manufacturing districts direct. The opening catalogue contained 7000 bales. Competition _by both Home and foreign buyers is active, Tlie following advances on last sale prices arJ exhibited :—Superior greasy, Id to HI ; combing washed, 2d ; scoured, 2d ; cfo'bing washed. Id ; cross bred clothing washed, 2d; Lamba' market unchanged.
