A large meeting was hold at Dublin to-day to consider the question of the relief of the distress. The Duke of Marlborough was present, and addressed the meeting. He repudiated the assertions made by Mr Parnell in his recent speeches in America.
Calcutta, Jan. 31
The condition of affairs in Afghanistan is unsettled. The malcontents are rallying at Ghuznee, and declare they will fight unless Yakoob Khan is reinstated.

The Post Office has intimated to the Orient Company that a penalty of £200 per bag will be imposed for any refusaj to carry mails. The Company announce their intention to cany.
A Globe telegram from Berlin states that a fresh Congress is proposed to settle the bonndary of Greece and Turkey.
