THE VALUATION LIST for the Borough of Akaroa for the year 1880-1 is NOW OPEN FOR INSPECTION at the office of the Borough Council. All objections thereto must be left at the Resident Magistrates Court on or before the 16 th day of February, addressed to the Assessment Court, and a copy of every such objection must be left at the Town Clerk's office not less than seven days before the next sitting of the said Court. THE VALUATION LIST for the Little River Road Board District for the year ending March 31, 1881, will be OPEN FOR INSPECTION from the 15th to the 30th instant, at Forbes' Store, Tai Tapu ; and from the latter date to the 15th day of February, at the Police Station at Little River. All objections thereto must be addressed to the Assessment Court, and a copy of the same left at the office of this Board not less than seven days before the next sitting of the said Court. ELECTION OF COMMITTEE. rPU_E Board, in pursuance of power 1 in that behalf conferred by "The Education Act, 1877" (section 63.y hereby directs that a PUBLIC .MEETING of the Householders in every School District throughout the Education District of North Canterbury, be held on MONDAY, the 26th day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, at seven o'clock in the evening, for tho election in each district of seven householders (section 63) to form the Committee for such district for the year ending with the fourth Monday in January next year. The place of meeting shall be the Schoolhouse in each district which is provided with a Schoolhouse, and this is understood to mean the main Schoolhouse in any district which has more than one School. In the districts in which Schools are not yet built, the places of meeting shall be as follows :— Aylesbury—House of Mr William Bladder. Cambridge—House of Mr Joseph Megson. Flemington—Wheatstone Hotel. Kirwee—Kirwee Hotel. Loburn North—House of Mr J. A. Cunningham. The Board further directs that the first meeting of each School Committee be held in the place appointed for the elections, and immediately after the election upon the same evening. The Board requests the Chairman of each public meeting to make to the Board, immediately after the election, a return of the names of the several househoulders elected to form the Committee, and recommends that each Chairman of Committee report his own election as soon as possible.
