Tuesday, Dec. 2. (Before Justin Aylmer, Esq., R.M.) Civil Cases.
Billens v. Akaroa Borough .-Council..— Claim, lGs 10d, goods delivered. His Worship the Mayor appeared, and pleaded indebtedness. Judgment ■ for amount claimed with cost 3.
Ye wen'v. Akaroa Borough Council — Claim, £9 9s 7d, for lighting. As in the previous case, his Worship pleaded indebtedness. Judgment for amount claimed with costs.
J. L. Manning v. Akaroa Borough Council.—Claim £9 16s 3d, for lighting. As in the last case, his Worship pleaded indebtedness. Judgment for amount claimed with costs.
J. Pearce appeared in answer to a judgment summons for £12 17s 6d. Ordered to pay the sum of £2 10s per month, the first payment to be made on the Ist Jan., 1880, in default one month's imprisonment. cattle trespass. Thos. Brooks appeared to have two cases of cattle trespass heard at Akaroa that had been set down for hearing at Little River. The Bench heard the eases, one against himself, and another against M'Neil, and under the circumstances dismissed both cases. The Court then adjourned.
