At the Addington yards on Wednesday, 5362 sheep, 817 head of cattle, and 23 Bigs were yarded. Sheep.—The supply of fat sheep was not :so large as might have'been expected considering that there was 'no market last week on account of the holidays. Fat lambs—A large supply came to hand and sold at from 3s 6d.to 8s 6d each, according to quality. Shorn ewee with lambs at foot brought ss, and ewes >in the wool with about 50 per cent of lambs realised 8s 3d •each.
Cattle.—The supply of both fat and store cattle was large, and in consequence the prices for beef were much lower than at the late sales. We quote* as an average for beef, 23s per lOOlbs for prime pualily ; second ditto, 21s per flOOibs. The store cattle were all sold at fair market Tates.
