Auckland, Oct. 28.
The Uuioh; Company's steamer Rotomahana made the quickest passage on record from Sydney to Auckland, doing the distance in 3 days and 18 hours. She arrived here this morning.
The police areihvestigatingthecircumstances of an attempt to upset a train in the Domain tunnel.
Spurious florins of the date 1878 are being circulated here. The police are endeavouring to trace the guilty parties.
•The Kirigitesare taking great interest in the political movements at Wellington, and Tawhiao is kept constantly informed of what is going on.
