LOCAL MARKETS.

Messrs Robert Wjlkin and Co. report:— At the Addington Yards on Wednesday. 5950 sheep, 406 head of cattle, and 53 pigs were yarded. The supply of prime ■fat stock was large, but the prices for both sheep and cattle were not up to last week's rates.- We sdld, on behalf of some •of our clients, best (sKorn) sheep from 8s 6d to 10s each ; cross-bred ewes, in wool, 10s 3d ; fat lambs, 7s 6d ; fat steers, from £10 to £11 15s; do, light weights, from £7'l'sb£B 4s ; store steers, three year old, £6; pigs, small, 21s 6d to 48s. Sheepskins.—At our sale yesterday 2450 skins "were.catalogued and sold. There was the usual 'attendance of the trade, with the following prices:—Butchers' cross-breds, ' large, 3s 10d to 4s 5d sach ; do do, medium, 3s to 3s 10d ; do do, small and inferior, 2s 3d to 3s ; do merino, large, 3s to -4s? 5d ; do do, medium, 2s 6d to' 3s ; do do, email and inferior, Is 9d to2s6d 5 country -crossbred to 3s 6d ; do merinos, to 4s Id ; this season's pelts, Id to 2d each ; lambskins, 3d to 7d each. Tallow.—There was & fair attendance of buyers, with prices of a slightly downward tendency. Best clean well saved, to ljd per lb; inferior and heated to Id per lb. Hides, 3d per lb ; calfskins, unsold.
