LOCAL MARKETS.
Messrs Robert Wilkin and Co. report:— At the Addington Yards on Wednesday, 44<34 sheep, 355 head of cattle and 33 pigs were yarded ; in sheep there was a dull sale throughout; many lots were passed in unsold, more especially half fat lots. In fat cattle best pens sold fully up to last week's rates. -We sold on account ot various owners-long iwoolled hoggets from' 5s Gd to 9s each ; fat steers from £9 5s to £11 ; store cows from £6 to £7 ss. At our skin sale to-day 2214 skins were catalogued. There was the usual attendance of buyers with even prices as follows, viz.,: —Butchers crossbred, large, 3s lOd to 4s Gd each ; do do, medium, 3s to 3s lOd ; do do, small and inferior, Is lOd to 3s; do merino, largo, 3s od to 4s Id , do do, medium, 2s 8d to 3s od ; do do, small and inferior, Is lOd to 2s 8d ; country skins, 3s Gd to 4s 3d. Tallow.—There was a fair attendance of the trade with firm prices. Best clean well saved, 2|d per lb ; second quality, l£d ; inferior and heated, Id .per lb. Hides and Calfskins unsold. .
