ORIGINAL POETRY.

SPRING

Spring, Spring, thou art back again 1 And bringest unto all The new life of another year That answers to thy call. Spring, Spring, thou art back again ! The Wind and Sun and Rain Have entered into fellowship, And hailed thee back again. Spring, Spring, thoii art back again ! And we can feel and see The Breeze and Light and Brooding Drops, All changed for love of thee. Spring, Spring, thou art back again 1 Here are thy violets blue, The Wind has passed and caught their breath, And on them iB the Dew. Spring, Spring, thou art back again ! Here are the daisies bright, Kiss'd by the Sun 'neath which they glow, They shine like stare of night. Spring, Spring, thou art back again! There is the lark above. We know his song so wildly sweet, His song of wakeful love. Spring, Spring, thou art back again ! Here is a hidden nest, And brooding there, with list'ning sense, The mother bird doth rest. Spring, Spring, thou art back again ! Would we could feel and see Thine influence in human things To wake new life like thee. M.
