At the wool sales to-day 9500 bales were catalogued. The tone of the market is quieter. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1,820,000 quarters. [Age Special.] ' London, August 26. Wholesale immigration to America and Australia is to be advocated as a remedy for the depression amongst the laboring class. The proposal was well received by a crowded enthusiastic meeting at Sheffield and other large towns. [Abgus' Special.] London, August 25. The French barque Chaudernagore has embarked at Flushing a large party of French, Swiss, and Belgians, well armed, for New Guinea. The French, and Belgian Governments refused to allow them to embark at Havre or Antwerp. It is stated that the vessel will sail under the American flag.
