BOROUGH BY-LAWS.

To the Editor of the Akaroa Mail.

Sir, —As a number of the residents here seem to be ignorant of the Akaroa By-law relating to crossing footpaths with horses, I would suggest that the Borough Council should put up a notice at both ends of the town, forbidding anyone crossing the footpaths except on places provided. I think the Council should do this, or we may have no end of cases at our R.M. Court, as.every day we can see someone from the Bays and Akaroa making a breach, but done, I feel assured, in ignorance of the by-law. Yours, &c, OLD GREY.
