An Invercargill innocent named Narcoe was brought up at the Court, on Saturday, on a charge of stealing an axe. He was suffering from religious mania, and . had acted under the Scriptural injunction— "Ask and ye shall receive." He asked for the axe, and, being refused, snatched it and ran away. He was remanded for medical examination.
