Young people, especially, beware of this disease. In Detroit lives one of those men who, even if he understands perfect y well an enquiry addressed to him, invariably replies '■ Hey ?" and the enquiry must be submitted again. The world has tens of thousands of these " heys?" but until the

other day this Detroiter was the worst of all. Along came a stranger the other evening who might and might not have known of this man's eccentrecity. Entering the store, he remarked: ."
