A meeting of.the above Board'was held on Saturday, May 3. front of Messrs Hay's residence, "were opened:— Messrs Pawson and Co., £1125; or if allowed to use rubble from the west end of the contract, £750. -'Mr John Woodill, £487. Mr Bobert Stewart, £375. Messrs Everall and Gunning, £500. Messrs Brough and Co., £691. Mr E. Prendergast, £187. Proposed by Mr Pitcaithly, and seconded by Mr Budua—" That Mr Stewart's tender be accepted, subject to such security for the due fulfilment of the contract, as the Board would consider satisfactory." The following accounts were ordered '< to be paid :— From Mr J. F. M'Cardell, for making up the map of the district, £4 10s. Mr W, Smith, 20 days' labor at 7s, £7. Messrs Austin and Kirk, for a supply of drain pipes, £11 17s. Total, £23 7s.
