IN accordance with " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and " The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876," clause 46, I hereby give notice that an ELECTION will be held at the office of the Akaroa Borough Council, on FRIDAY, the 6th day of June, 1879, for the purpose of electing ONE Councillor to fill an extraordinary vacancy, caused by the resignation of Councillor Billens. The NOMINATION of Candidates, which must be made in the manner provided in the 11th clause of the second recited Act, will be received at the said Borough Council office, up to noon on Monday, the 26th day of May, 1879. [HEREBY give notice, that in terms of clause 92 of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," an ELECTION will be held at the office of the Akaroa Borough Council, on MONDAY, the 2nd day of June next, for the purpose of electing TWO persons to 6e Auditors of the said Borough. The NOMINATION of Candidates, who must be qualified under the 93rd clause of the above recited Act, must he made in the manner provided in the 11th clause of " The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876," and will take place at the said Borough Council Office at noon on Saturday, the 24th day of May, current, and a POLL (if necessary) will be taken at the said offices between the hours of 9 a.m. and" 6 p.m. on MONDAY, the 2nd day of June, 1879.
