IN accordance with " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and " The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876," clause 46, I hereby give notice that an ELECTION will be held at the office of the Akaroa Borough Council, on FRIDAY, the 6th day of June, 1879, for the purpose of electing ONE Councillor to fill an extraordinary vacancy, caused by the resignation of Councillor Billens.
