IT having been reported to the Sur-veyor-General that Survey Pegs in the various districts are being daily ploughed up, the' Government has decided to prosecute in every case, and on conviction will press for the infliction of the highest penalty (-£SO) allowed under " The Trigonometrical Stations and Survey Marks, Act, 1868.", , ->■ Surveyors 'and Police will be instructed to use every endeavor to dis- ; cover any person disturbing or removing ' any existing survey mark or peg, either on his own land or on land that he may be at work on.
