So I dink he not undershtant my English, pecauso I seem shpeak English mit der left hand, but I shvear petter as eferybody efer vas. \ So I shust shpeak five or six pig shvears, and den dot shild, say •' M—a," again so pitter dot I was have to go in after him. Mem Gott! dot vater vas as colt dot it shilled die marrow in mem aoul. But I put one foot in, ant den I putanoderin unt I say: " I gome, mem shild I gome," unt I spheak nice to him as I go. It vas so dark dot! vas haf to zee him mit mem ,hant, unt yen I touch him he feel like unt as soon as I touch him he say "Ma 1" more lout unt pitter still, unt shumped five thousand feet, unt vas riovere. Den I know dot shild vas a goat. Dunder! I bulled mem self out of dot rifer by die hair of mem head, and kicked mem self into mem hut tint hammert mem self till I not shtant it no more. Mem Gott?
