CRICKET.
Barry's Bay v. Akaroa. A match between the above clubs was played on Easter Monday at Head of the Bay, in Mr B. Shadbblt's paddock. The Akaroa team having to return early by the coach, it was arranged to play a one innings match, but unfortunately the rain greatly interfered with the game, which ended in an easy victory for the Barry's Bay team with nine wickets to fall. The Akaroa team was captained by Mr W. H. Wood, and the Barry's Bay team by Mr E. S. Latter. The following are the scores :— AKAROA. F. Barker, b H. Knight 2 W. Hughes, bA. Seftoh ... ... 0 M.
