AKAROA HIGH SCHOOL.
To.,.the Editor of the Akaroa Mail. Sib, —Without denying the excellence of your remarks in reference to my letter upon the above subject, I should like to point out — That Lhave no wish to terrify people or to magnify tha difficulties of establishing a high school in Akaroa. _ That I -fully admit Akaroa'a title to a high school, and think that we should.have one. .'. »• ■ ' ' .«. That to have one we must have extensive support, and we can only expect such people as we have to deal with to support what they understand. That the persons interested in the matter could very easily meet in one of the schoolrooms some Saturday, afternoon. ' That the circular in question, quoting from the Education Act, simply states that anything may be-taught in a high school, but that everything.masd be taught therein that is now taught in the' Akaroa school. " ,' Thanking you for the "interest .that you have shown in the subject, I remain, Sir, Yours, &c, COMMON SENSE. '
