Flat Races. 4. WAIREWA HANDICAP of 15 soys. Nomination, £1; acceptance, £1. Open to all comers. Distance, two miles. 5. PUBLICANS' PURSE of 7 soys., for district horses. Entrance, £1. Distance, one mile and a half. 6. CONSOLATION of—soys. Entrance, 15s. Distance, one mile. 7. HACK RACE of—soys. Entrance, 10s. For district horses only. 8. MAORI CANOE RACE. In all events, three horses to start or no race. Nominations to close on Tuesday, March 18, and must be addressed to the Secretary, Little River. Weights to appear on Saturday, March 22. Acceptances to close on Wednesday, March 26. The district comprises the County of Akaroa. All horses to run must be the bona fide property of residents in the district three months, previous, to the races. Canterbury Jockey Club Rules to be adhered to.
