TO THE ELECTORS OF THE AKAROA AND WAINUI ROAD DISTRICT. /~] ENTLEMEN,—An extraordinary \JC vacancy having occurred in the above district, I beg to announce my intention of being a candidate to fill the office, and respectfully request the sup-* port and interest of all those who have confidence in me to support me and work on my behalf and their own. My views are that not only should the funds be fairly distributed in giving access to the different holdings, but the roads should be made in the best position, and the abominable patchwork and making of roads on straight lines of survey in a hilly country should be avoided as much as possible.
