MAIDEN PLATE of 10 soys, for all horses the bona fide property of residents in the district; horses only that have never won an advertised race. Entrance, 20s. Weight for age. Distance about a mile and a half Second horse to save his stakes. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE of 20 soys ; second horse to save his Stakes. Nomination, 20s; acceptance, 20s. Open to all comers. Over eight flights of hurdles. Distance about two miles. PENINSULA HANDICAP of 30 soys ; second horse to save his stakes. Nomination, 30s ; acceptance, 30s. Distance about two miles. Open to all comers. PUBLICANS' PURSE of 10 soys; second horse to save his stakes. Entrance, 20s. For district horses only. Distance about a mile and a half. Weight for age, CONSOLATION HANDICAP of 1\ soys. Entrance, 20s. For all beaten horses. Distance about a mile and a half. HACK RACE of 5 soys. Entrance, 10s. For district horses only. Post entry. Catch weights. Races to start at noon, promptly. RULES. The C. J. C. rules strictly adhered to. No one allowed to enter a horse unless a subscriber of not less than One Guinea to the race fund. Three horses to start, or no race. All horses starting must race the distance, or they will not be allowed to compete for the Consolation Stakes. District horses shall mean horees that are the bona fide property of owners resident in the County of Akaroa three months previous to the races. Nominations for the Handicaps close on Feb. 13, at 8 o'clock p.m, Entrances close on Feb. 17, at eight o'clock p.m. All entries and colors, with money, to be sent in under cover to the Secretary, Akaroa. a. i. HHHE VALUATION LIST for the JL year ending March 31, 1880, will be OPEN FOR INSPECTION at Forbes' Store, Tai Tapu, from the 15th to the 29th inst.; and at the Police Station at Little River, from the 30th inst. to the 15th February. All objections thereto must be addressed to the Judge of the Assessment Court on or before the 15th February, and a copy of every such objection must be left at the office of the Little River Road Board before the next sitting of the said Court.
