The Glasgow Bank Directors made no defence, and only called witnesses as to character. Messrs Potter and Stronach were found not guilty as charged. The others have been found guilty of issuing false balances. They will be sentenced on Saturday.

Marshal M'Mahon refuses to accede to the changes of the Anti-Republican Commanders of the Army Corps, which the Ministry desire to make, and which was recently declared would be avoided, tinlesTf'-the consequences proved detrimental to the nation. Marshal M'Mahon will resign rather than the army should be disorganised. A majority in the Chambers intimated that if his resignation is tendered it will be accepted.

M'Mnhon, persisting in his refusal to change commanders, has virtually resigned. Formal resignation will probably be made to-morrow. A congress of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies will then meet to elect his successor.

The probable candidates for the Presidency are Greve, President of the Chamber of Deputies, and Admiral Pothnau, Minister of Marine and the Colonies.
Later. Marshal M'Mahon has resigned the Presidency.
The Senate and Chamber of Deputies have been specially convoked to elect a successor.
M. Greve's election this evening is a certainty.

M. Gambetta has been elected President of the Chamber of Deputies.
Bombay, Jan. 30. General Stewart's Cavalry entered Kalat-i-Ghilzai on Jau. 21.
Vali Mahomet, brother of the Ameer of Afghanistan, has arrived at Kuram and solicited General Roberts to receive him. A number of Shunbari chiefs accompanied Vali.
