AKAROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
A special meeting of the above Council was held iti their offices on Tuesday evening last, for the purpose of receiving the- - report of lhe Sub-cornmitti|p> appoihtefF'to investigate the Borough's'"/cTaiin ; againat the Akujs|a, and Waihui ;Roi|d Board..',;. '« Preseinln-Hie Wjbp&nijKthe Mayor, Crs Meech, | Billens, and Cuilen. '-?. t V|i •'<: : The report Jwas resfl as-follows :, — " Your.^pQinrmtteib' hayj'ng \considered the documents furnished , ' thera\SJtjy t . his Worship, and having compared them with &c, recommend the Council to make a claim of one-third of the property and rates of the Akaroa and Wainui ■ Road Board at date of severance, and your Committee consider such claim to be just,"
-■It was proposed by Cr BiHens* and seconded by Cr Alger—" That his Worship the Mayor be authorised to attend the Commissioner's Court with' the necessary documents to support the claim."-
The resolution wass carried. ' : This being the only business, the Council adjourned.
