Considerable conversation ensued, the unanimous opinion being in accord with that of Mr Williams that Mr Duxbury was fully deserving of re-election. At the same time, as Mr Duxbury was not present, and it was more than doubtful whether he would accept the office, and highly was important that the business should not be delayed, Mr Curry seconded the motion, which was carried. Mr Williams thanked the members for the honor they had done him ; at the same time he would much prefer that Mr Duxbury had been consulted in the matter. VALUATION ROLL.
