P. Donovan. Mademoiselle once more desires to express her gratitude to her fellow-members, for having by their donation given her some assistance in bringing forward a long cherished plan, and she sincerely hopes that they who have given her ■such credit and thanks for the past, will no doubt be only too happy to give their help, and do their utmost, that her enterprize may turn out for God's glory and the benefit of the Catholic Church. PURSUANT to "The Canterbury Roads Ordinance, 1872," and " The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876," I, John Barwick, Returning Officer for the Akaroa and Wainui Road District, hereby give notice that an ELECTION of TWO Members in the room of John Duxbury and Cole M'Donald, who retire in terms of the above ordinance, will be held at the office of the said Board, Duvauchelle's Bay, on SATURDAY, the 4th day of January next.
