Lbrd Viscount Cranbrook's motion regarding the expenses of the Affghnn war being chargeable to Imlia was carried on a division by 250 to Go. Lord Beseoiisfield, alluding to the Affghan question, declared the attempt at the rectifies tion of the frontier to !>e a necessary result of the war. England was now on friendly torms with Russia, *whoso recent explanation witn referau-e to the mission to Cabul was considered satisfactory. m The House of.Commons agreed to an adjournment of the debate on Mr Whitbread's motion of a vote of censure on the policy of the Government regarding Affghanistan.
