INTERPROVINCIAL TELEGRAMS.
(pee pkess agency.) DuNEDIN, NOV. 12,
The official enquiry into the striking of the Taupo off the east coast of the North Island was resumed to-day, and adjourned till to-morrow. A number of witnesses were examined, including Capt, Andrews, who thought the vessel must have struck on the shore side of the Tokamaphoia reef. He said the course had been altered on this occasion, because on the previous voyage they had always found the vessel further off the coast by the time they reached Motara Island than there was any occasion for.
