CRICKET.
Monday, being a general holiday, some of the Akaroa Cricket Club adjourned to Robinson's Bay to play a scratch game of cricket. Sides were chosen on the ground by Messrs Worsley and Wood. The game was won by Mr Wood's side. The scores below will show the easy victory they gained, having won in one innings and eighteen runs to spare. The most noticeable feature about the game was the lack of energy displayed, especially in the fielding, which was not what ought to be expected from the players who took part in the match ; both sides acted alike, and seemed to throw no energy into their work, but played more as if it was a trouble than a pleasure. We trust upon future occasions that games will be conducted with more spirit. The following are the
