NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS.

J. R.—Your communication is unsuitable for our columns. Wβ have no desire to assist in stirring bp theological strife. Perhaps you are unaware that the word " Papist," which you use so freely, is considered an insulting nickname by the large body of Christians to whom it is applied.

The Ode to a Morepork is something beyond us. We thought we had effectually snuffed out its author on a previous occasion. All we have to say now is, that were it not for the fact that a sacred name is introduced into it, we would comply with our contributor's modest request to " publish all of it from beginning to end," if only to show to what profound depths of imbecility the human mind is capable of descending. Distrusting our own discrimination, we requested a literary friend to allow us to read it to him. After the first few lines, he begged for mercy, and before the first sheet was finished he turned and fled. We hear that he has suddenly disappeared from his usual haunts, and only hope that he has not been driven to commit any rash act by our imprudence.
