AKAROA LICENSING COURT.

Adjourned Meeting.

Tuesday, Sept. 17.

(Before Messrs J. Aylmer, E. G. Latter, and A. C. Knight, Esqs., Commissioners.

J. Olphert. Forsyth Arms Hotel, Little River, was present to explain his absence at the regular meeting. He said that he apologised to the Court for not being present, but as the improvements required by the Court were then being carried out, he did not think it was necessary. The cause of delay was the difficulty in getting bricks for the chimney, and the oarpenter not having all the timber ready.

Sergeant Ramsay explained that the chimney was now finished and the stable built, its only fault being that it was rather small for the requirements of the house.

The Court accepted the explanation, and Mr Olphert withdrew. The Court then adjourned.
