INTERPROVINCIAL TELEGRAMS.

(PER PRESS A-ENCY.) Dunedin, August 26. The ceremony of sinking the last rail of the Dunedin and Christchurch fine took place to-day between Waikouaiti and Palmerston, in the presence of 200 people. The ceremony was performed by Mr Blair, assisted by Miss Macandrew and the Mayor of Dunedin. A lunch took place afterwards.
