FROM THE LYTTELTON TIMES. Christchurch, Friday Evening. GRAIN AND PRODUCE. The business of the past week has been totally devoid of life. With heavy stocks still held by many, and comparatively few orders coming to hand, there is little chance of improvement. Flour.—£lo to £11. Bran and sharps very scarce. Potatoes. — A moderate business is being done at £4 7s 6d to £4 15s, but buyers are very cautious, and prefer executing commissions second-hand to purchasing, and holding in the present state of the market. Grass Seed.—Cocksfoot is quoted at 7d to 7£d. Dairy Produce.; —Good butter is worth 9|d to lOd. The supply is coming forward with moro freeness. Cheese commands 5M to 6d ; hams and bacon, in cloth, 7£d to Bd.
