The following is the report for the week *• ending Friday evening :— Grass Seed.—Cocksfoot is in request at -7d to 7£d per lb. . Potatoes.--The supply is short, and prices have considerably advanced. Sales have been effected at high rates. Holders are asking £4 10s per ton. Seed is much wanted ; in some cases £5 per ton has been paid. This may be looked upon .as an extreme rate. Stocks are very light, .and with the strong export demand rates . are not likely to recede. Cheese and Butter.—Cheese is saleable - at 5d to s|d per lb. Butter is firmer; first-class would meet with buyers at,9d •to lOd per lb ; medium at 8d to 9d per . lb.
