The Chancellor of the Exchequer made his Financial Statement,. showing a deficit of £4,250,000. The holders of coupons agree to the Ministerial motion for the immediate issue of £2,000,000, Exchequer Bills.
Vienna, Aug. 8. There has been a further Austrian mobilisation in consequence of events iv Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Austrians attacked and completely routed the enemy after severe fighting, with heavy loss, the Austrian loss being trifling. London, Aug. 9. The Indian regiment at Cyprus will re-embark in five weeks. (special to the press agency.) London, Aug. 8. Great interest is felt in the Continent as to the course England will adopt with respect to Cyprus. It is announced that England will not fortify the garrison, and that the two battalions of Indian troops return home immediately. It is stated that an attempt has been - made to assassinate Bismarck. .
