The population at Moshar are offering armed resistance to the Austrian occupation, and have massacred the Governor and several of the Turkish authorities. A squadron of Austrian cavalry, while reconnoitering, were attacked, and seventy killed. (Special to the Press Agency). London, August 7. In the House of. Commons, Government are calling attention to the execution at Tawrara of South Sea natives by order of the commander of Her Majesty's schooner Beagle, and moved
that instructions be issued defining the authority of naval powers in similar cases. The Government exonerated the officer of the Beagle, and the First Lord of the Admiralty said, if desired, specific directions should be issued.
The Elections Committee are now sitting re the vacation of Sir Bryan O'Loghlen's seat for Clare.
In the House this evening O'Gorman was ordered to withdraw in consequence of disrespect to the Speaker. He withdrew, and refused to apologise; great excitement ensued.
Delegates from eight hundred Conservative Associations in the United Kingdom presented the Premier and Lord Salisbury with addresses congratulating them on the result of Congress.
