The leaders of the Liberal party in both Houses of Parliament intend to challenge the policy of the Government.
Earls Beaeonsfield and Salisbury have arrived in London. A very crowded and enthusiastic meeting was held at Sydenham to welcome them. The Berlin Convention gives England the right to interfere in Turkish affairs far beyond that allowed in Conference by the Treaties of 1856 and 1871.

The reception of the Premier and Lord Salisbury at Dover and London was most enthusiastic.
A Foreign office writer, charged with stealing a copy of the agreement between Lord Salisbury and Count Schouvaloff, has been discharged.
A despatch from Lord Salisbury to the British Representative at Constantinople states that the Berlin Treaty is Turkey's last chance.
