[PER PRESS AGENCY.] Wellington, June 10. Gazette, issued this morning, notifies that Parliament is further prorogued from 15th June to Ist July next. Sailed—Tui, for Kaikoura and Lyttelton, 6 p.m.; Taupo, for South, 3.30 p.m. Passengers—Mr and Mrs Bell, Mr Fisher. New Plymouth, June 10. Rewi is expected at Pukiaruhe fWhitechiffes) to-day, and will be at Waitara before the 21st. Only a few followers will come with Rewi at first, the main body coming down afterwards. Hokitika, June 10. Seymour Thome George has received a requisition from Hokitika electors, inviting him to become a candidate for the representation of that district in Parliament. George replied, complying with request, and stating he wiU visit the district.
Gerald George Fitzgerald has nn•nouncea himself as a candidate for Assembly for seat vacated by Button. Wanganui, June 10.
The Harbor Board to-day accepted the tender of Henderson and Fergus, Dunedin, for the three contracts of river improvements and harbor works; amount, £25,197.
