INTERPROVINCIAL TELBGRAMSr Wellington, June 5. THE RESULTS Of THE NEW LOAN.

The news published by the New Zealand.er%\n& morning that the loan had been successfully floated caused great excitement, and has given greatly increased vitality to trade. At a land auction to-day, the auctioneer read out the annouivcement, and property realised unexpectedly high prices. The Government are not yet aware of the average price realised as the allotment was {not made, but it will be something over par. The loan is a five per cent one, with a currency of from ten to forty yearaat the borrowers' option. Full particulars are expected late to-night. Authorised public works will now be vigorously proceeded with. Already the Nelson people have been informed that no time will be lost in accepting tenders for the port extension.
