Saturday, May 25, Present — Messrs Dnxbury (Chairman pro tarn), Williams,.and Curry. The minutes of the last "Greeting were road and coniinncd. Messrs fkl! and M ; Kay appeared on behalf of the settles s at Wainui for the purpose of drawing attention to' that portion of the Wainui road through the Maori reserve, -which was in a bad state, and almost stopped up by slips. Also, with regard to the Wainui extension, that the County Council be informed that the work has been delayed on account of there being no certificated Surveyor, and that the road required re-grading. Lelievre, offering to take £20 per acre for the 16J chains on the lower side pf. the pegs on the new Long Bay road, and £15 per acre for the remainder as previously, proposed, the lower side of the road to be properly fenced with posts and three rails, sheep and cattle proof.
