Christchurch, Friday Evening. ~ " GRAIN AND PRODUCE. ■ The improved tone noticed in our last report has continued during, the week, and a considerable business has been done in fulfilment of orders.' 'Up to date the shipment of produce'on 'growers'' account has been very heavy, and thedispoßition to deal w:ith it in this way still shows no sign of falling off. ~■-,-■ Potatoes.—Buyers are giving 45s to 47s 6d, and have been purchasing freely. Floub.—The millers report a fair business at £11 to £12.
Grass Seed.—As the season is now over, the enquiry has in a great measure fallen off. For cocksfoot we note a weaker demand; and growers have had to 'submit to lower.prices for late lots brought into the market. < It is worth s|d to Gd for good seed. ' ~■■:.■!'
