PURSUANT to clause 140 and subsections 1, 2, and 3 of the "Municipal Corporations' Act, 1876," Notice is hereby given, that the Akaroa Borough Council propose to borrow the the sum of £3000 sterling, by way of a special loan, of which the principal and interest shall be secured on the general Rates of the Borough, for the purpose of erecting Bridges, Re-grading and Metalling Streets, Sewage Works, and erecting Public Baths.
