STOCK AND STATIONS.
At Addington, on Wednesday last, 11,590 sheep, 624 cattle, and 153 pigs, were yarded.
Fat sheep suffered a decline of from ls to ls 6d per head ; and in some instances vendors would not accept the price offered, so that many lots were passed in. Mutton may be quoted at from Id to l{d per ib. Store sheep were yarded in large numbers, mostly old merino ewes, which sold from ls 6d to 2s 3d. For young stores the demand was not so good as in the previous week, this being the result of the dry weather and tl»e scarcity of feed.
Beef.—Very little of good quality was brought forward. For what there was, prices equal to 27s 6d were made down to 22s 6d lor inferior.
Store Cattle.—A large nnmber were yarded, and sales were effected with difficulty at reduced prices. The same remarks apply to cattle as to store sheep, and several lines of good cattle were passed in.
