Friday, March 22. Civil Cases. J. Sunckell, sen., v. Borieau.—This was a claim for £3 15s, being the half cost of a dividing fence between the plaintiff's and defendant's properties. The defendant refused to pay on the ground that the land fenced off by Mr Sunckell was his property, being part of the grant to him as one of the old French settlers. After hearing the evidence adduced tho Bench gave judgment for the plaintiff with costs, remarking that the question of the ownership of the land was for another court to decide. The court then adjourned.
