THE RUSSO-TURKISH WAR,

London, Feb. 25

The demands of Russia include the prohibition of the passage of the Dardanelles by all war vessels, but free navigation to merchant ships ; an indemnity of fourteen hundred million roubles, to cover which Turkey is to. be required to cede her ironclad squadron, the cities of Kars, Batoum, Bayazid, and Ardahan, and the territory comprised in the Russian occupation of Asia Minor ; the forty millions sterling indemnity to be secured by bonds chargeable on the sinking fuud, the interest of which isto be guaranteed by the tribute now paid by Bulgaria and Egypt to the Porte. (SPECIAL TO THE MELBOURNE " ARGUS.) The new peace conditions arc, that fifty thousand Russians occupy Bulgaria for two years. Also, that Turkey pays forty millions pounds indemnity. The Austrians are raising a special vote. London, Feb. 25. A monster Anti-Russian meeting was held in Hyde Park. Sir Bartle Frere has been dismissed by the Molteno Ministry. The Pope has dismissed General Kamzlere, commandant of the Papal dominion.

London, Feb. 26

A large meeting for peace, held in Hyde park, was scattered by ah immense Conservative demonstration. London papers consider the peace conditions excessive, and imperil the maintenance of European peace. Earl Derby, replying to o question, said that the Government had received no information that confirmed the peace conditions, and remarked that if the Egyptian tribute to the Porte were demanded, it would require serious consideration .
