STOCK AND STATIONS.
At Addington on Wednesday last, 4156 sheep and lambs, 649 head of cattle, and 489 pigs were yarded. Fat Sheep.—The market opened with a decided improvement on last week's prices, equal to from Is to Is 6d per head, but noticeably declined as sales proceeded, closing at about last week's prices. Beef.—At the opening of the sale there was a fair demand for good quality, which was placed readilyat 27s 6d per 1001b, but towards the close prices receded, and good fair quality beef for home trade did not make more than 22s 6d, and on some lots a shade lower. Pigs sold fairly for stubble feeding. Store Cattle of good sorts in fair damand, but in consequence of the number yarded, there was difficulty in placing inferior lots, even at reduced prices. Stose Sheep were fairly taken up at fairvaiues, according to description.
